Make a love blossom tree! The trunk is made from a hand/arm print, and the hearts are made from thumb prints. How cute! (Thanks Dubiens!)

Make a leprechaun from a paper plate & construction paper! (Thanks Crafts for all Seasons!)

Make shamrocks & write what the child is thankful for. Put it in a little patch of grass w/ a rainbow, like so, with the label: "I am lucky because..." (Thanks Lisa!)

Make shamrocks from potato stamped hearts. (Thanks Mustard Seeds!) You could also do this with two thumbprints for each heart.

If you don't have babies toddling around, then make mini-maracas from easter eggs by putting dried beans inside some eggs and hot gluing them shut! (Thanks Dubiens!)

Make a Q-Tip Skeleton! (Thanks Crafts For All Seasons!)

Make a spooky silhouette painting! Using a very wide brush, paint three thick, touching lines of color: yellow, orange and red. Then clean & wet your brush and wipe over the lines where the colors meet to blend them. Let it dry overnight. Then, paint a black line at the bottom and what ever spooky black silhouettes you'd like. (Thanks Crafts for All Seasons!)

Thanksgiving!

Google and find a turkey image you like, then let the child glue feathers on!

Make a thankful turkey! It's made from two paper bowls, a toilet paper tube, cardstock for the feathers (each with something written on it that the child is thankful for), a red balloon for the gizzard & a ketchup cup. Instructions here.

Make a turkey from fall leaves!

Make paddle turkeys from a paddle and scrapbook paper! (Thanks Dubiens!)

Make a pinecone turkey! Glue a red balloon over the top tip of the pinecone for the giblet. Next, glue on a foot shaped base. Next, glue on a mouth (two pumpkin seeds glued together at an angle). Last, add eyes and feathers. (Thanks Crafts for all Seasons)

Bubble Wrap Indian Corn! Glue bubble wrap around a toilet paper roll, holding it on w/ rubber bands til it dries (preferably overnight.) Paint the kernels different colors then wrap with a brown paper bag for the husk. (Thanks Crafts for all Seasons!)

Make salt dough Christmas ornaments! Decorate with glitter or by painting. Here's the recipe!

Make cinnamon applesauce ornaments! They are super simple to whip up and smell yummy... they remind me of gingerbread. Recipe here!

Make a gingerbread house! If you don't want to make gingerbread from scratch, just use graham crackers.

Make Candy Cookie Cones! Turn icecream cones upside down, add 1 TBSP cookie dough, which fills half of the cone. Set them upright in wads of foil and bake about 18 minutes, til the dough is cooked. Add chocolate chips and a lollipop stick to the top of the cone, and let them cool completely. Then brush on almond bark and add candy such as coconut, m&m's, sprinkles to make pretty trees. Mmmmmm. (Here are complete instructions.)


12-12 popcorn string

Read If You Take a Mouse to the Movies then string popcorn, kicks & cheerios onto a string to hang on the tree.
