Easy Pocket Window Valence



Want to make a simple valence w/ out the frills with minimal prep time?

Supplies:
   Fabric cut to the width of your window
   *Optional: bias tape or other trim



Directions:

arrow_purplebrown TEXTTrim selvages.

arrow_purplebrown TEXTCut the 45” width of the fabric into three equal pieces, 15” each.

arrow_purplebrown TEXTSerge or sew the three pieces together on the 15” sides, giving you one long train of fabric.

arrow_purplebrown TEXTSerge or hem under the two 15” edges of the train.

arrow_purplebrown TEXTFinish the bottom edge of your valence by serging the edge or sewing on coordinating bias tape.

arrow_purplebrown TEXTFinish the top edge of your valence by sewing under 3”, creating a pocket. Then, sew a line 1-1 1/2” from the top of the valence. This way, when you hang it on the rod, it’ll have an extra bit sticking up above the bar.
