Easy Pocket Window Valence
Want to make a simple valence w/ out the frills with minimal
prep time?

Supplies:
Fabric cut to the width of your window
*Optional: bias tape or other
trim
Directions:
Iron fabric.
Trim selvages.
Cut the 45” width of
the fabric into three equal pieces, 15” each.
Serge or sew the three
pieces together on the 15” sides, giving you one long
train of fabric.
Serge or hem under the
two 15” edges of the train.
Finish the bottom edge
of your valence by serging the edge or sewing on
coordinating bias tape.

Finish the top edge of
your valence by sewing under 3”, creating a pocket.
Then, sew a line 1-1 1/2” from the top of the valence.
This way, when you hang it on the rod, it’ll have an
extra bit sticking up above the bar.

Now hang it up and
you’re done!

do this project yourself, please send me a photo of it
with your name and what state you're from! I've recently
decided to start featuring my readers' finished results.
