"For Children" Sewing Tutorials
How to
add an adjustable
waist to most any
pair of pants!
Boo Boo
Bear... Make
little Boo Boo Bags with a slushy cold pack
inside (easy to make yourself) and a bear /
bunny / buggy / butterfly on the outside.
They're cute and cuddly and sure to brighten
any little one's day who has a boo boo.
Quiet
Square.... Here's
a five minute project for ya! This is a
quiet square... it has a basic maze sewn on
it (two lines in this case for a baby, but
could be made more elaborate for older
children) and a marble inside the square.
The child can maneuver the marble through
the square, and it is a handy/non-bulky
"quiet toy" to keep in your purse or diaper
bag.
Pillow Case... (for toddler beds- don't give pillows to babies!)While you're at it here's a quick pillow case to match.
Hacky
Sacks... This is
a great use for all those socks missing a
mate, or the foot portion of socks that you
already cut up to make Baby Legs
or
the
Best Ever Hot/Cold
Packs!
Baby
Legs...
*Minimal Sewing* Arm/leg warmers for kids-
great to wear w/ t-shirts in cold weather.
Best of all, they'll take you all of about 5
minutes to make!
Fleece Ear Flap
Hats... These
can be made plain, with pom poms, animal
eyes or ears.
Rag
Quilt... This is
the quilt that anyone can make! I won't say
it's quick (is ANY quilt quick?!), but it IS
very doable. If you're at all intimidated by
making traditional quilts, this is the quilt
to make! It's great for baby quilts and
adult quilts too.
Tuxedo Apron Revamp... I found this apron at Hobby Lobby for $5. Learn how to apply a bow tie applique & buttons to jazz it up!
