Pack & Play Sheets

Supplies:
1 1/2 yards cotton,
pre-washed*
(*The pre-wash is important on these sheets so you can make
them to fit snugly without worrying about the fit after
shrinkage from washing.)
Directions:
Double check that your
pack & play is standard size- about 38" x 26". If
it's not you'll need to adjust the measurements
accordingly.
Cut one piece of fabric
that's 49" x 26.5" for the sheet.
Cut two pieces of
fabric that are 29" x 5.5" for side panels.
Serge (or hem under)
one long side of each of the two side panels (serge one
29" side of the 29" x 5.5" pieces).
Pin a raw corner of
each side panel to the short end your sheet, facing
right sides together (see photo below). The sheet will
be longer than the panels (that's ok!). The serged side
of both panels should be towards the middle of your
sheet.

Serge the entire short
end of your sheet, catching both side panels.
Pull the remaining raw
corner of each side panel to the opposite short end of
your sheet. This will cause the sheet to fold on the
side that you've already serged (see photo below, the
left side is a fold). Pin it in place and serge the
other entire short side, like you did the first short
side.

Now measure and be sure
your length is 38". If it's not, take it in to 38".
Now center the side
panels, giving you about a 5" fold on each end. Pin it
in place, then serge the entire length of both long
edges.

Now measure and be sure
your width is 26". If it's not, take it in to 26".
Wasn't that fast? Now
just flip it right side out, and slip it on your pack
& play floor. Here's what the under side of the pack
& play floor looks like...

And here it is inside
the pack & play. That's much cuter than a boring 'ol
store-bought solid sheet, and cheaper too! Woo hoo!

Last, if you decided to
do this project yourself, please send me a photo of it
with your name and what state you're from! I've recently
decided to start featuring my readers' finished results.
