Project Ideas For Your Fabric Scraps!
Each
item on this page was either made with scraps I
had on hand,
or required so little fabric that it could have
been.
Hacky
Sacks... This is
a great use for all those socks missing a
mate, or the foot portion of socks that you
already cut up to make Baby Legs
or
the
Best Ever Hot/Cold
Packs!
DIY Wall
Decals... If you love
the look of vinyl lettering, you're going to
love this! Here's how to make your own
custom wall decals! And they peel off when
you're ready to take them down. You're gonna
love it!
Fleece Ear Flap
Hats... They
can be made plain, with pom poms, animal
eyes or ears.
Rag
Bag...
This is an
easy-to-make bag to tote your stuff in
style!
Sassy
Shelves... Here's
how you can jazz up some plain 'ol shelves
to make them a super cute feature in a room!
Best Ever Hot/Cold Packs (& hacky sacks too!)... Great for relaxing muscles, aches, or pains.
Cute Dry Erase
Board... Use a
picture frame and a piece of fabric to make
a cute dry erase board!
Bow
Holder...
A variation
of the project above, this one uses a
picture frame, fabric and ribbons to make a
bow holder!
Mail
Sorter... Get
those piles of mail off the kitchen counter
in style :)
Wall
Canvases... Want to
make your own wall art? This project uses
scrapbook paper & modpodge on a canvas,
but could also be done with fabric scraps.
(This wall art is done for a nursery but you
could easily change the shapes to perhaps a
tree or floral silhouette to make a grown-up
piece as well!)
Quiet
Square.... Here's
a five minute project for ya! This is a
quiet square... it has a basic maze sewn on
it (two lines in this case for a baby, but
could be made more elaborate for older
children) and a marble inside the square.
The child can maneuver the marble through
the square, and it is a handy/non-bulky
"quiet toy" to keep in your purse or diaper
bag.
Custom Christmas
Stockings... Here's
a great holiday project for individualized,
coordinating stockings for the
family!
