"For Baby" Projects
DIY Wall
Decals... If you love
the look of vinyl lettering, you're going to
love this! Here's how to make your own
custom wall decals! And they peel off when
you're ready to take them down. You're gonna
love it!
Sassy
Shelves... Here's
how you can jazz up some plain 'ol shelves
to make them a super cute feature in a room!
For Baby's
Room... Here's
a few more ideas just for the wee one's
room!
Wall
Canvases... Want to
make your own wall art? A little scrapbook
paper + modpodge on a canvas does the trick.
Here's how! (This wall art is done for a
nursery but you could easily change the
shapes to perhaps a tree or floral
silhouette to make a grown-up piece as
well!)
Boutique Hair Bows &
Bow Holder...
Want some
boutique bows for a little girl in your
life? They're super simple to make.
Sleep
sack... Here is
a printable pattern to make your own
wearable blanket for baby!
Baby
Legs... These
are leg warmers for babies and arm/leg
warmers for toddlers and kids. Best of all,
they'll take you all of about 5 minutes to
make!
Fleece Ear Flap
Hats
These can
be made plain, with pom poms, animal eyes or
ears.
Quiet Square.... Here's a five minute project for ya! This is a quiet square... it has a basic maze sewn on it (two lines in this case for a baby, but could be made more elaborate for older children) and a marble inside the square. The child can maneuver the marble through the square, and it is a handy/non-bulky "quiet toy" to keep in your purse or diaper bag.
Mommy-Made Baby
Food!... Have
you tried store-bought baby food? No wonder
kids hate their veggies! Home-made baby food
LOOKS, SMELLS, & TASTES so much
better!!! And it's far more NUTRITIOUS. You
may be surprised how easy and rewarding it
is to DIY! With my tried-and-true "muffy
cup" system utilizing the freezer to build
up variety and stock, you may be surprised
that it's really not the hassle it may sound
like.
Water-proof
pads...
*Minimal Sewing* Make a few of these little
gems to lay on top of your changing pad!
They're easy & cute & save your
changing pad from constantly needing washed.
You'll wonder how you ever lived without
them!
Ring
Sling... This
versatile baby sling will safely carry your
baby until he or she is too big to carry!
Universal Shopping
Cart (& High Chair) Cover!
Stretchy
elastic edges make it super quick and easy
to put in place so you can get to shoppin'!
Peek-a-Boo Nursing
Cover...
*Minimal Sewing* This is a handy nursing
cover that stays in place around Mom's neck,
and allows her to peek in on baby...
Fitted Crib
Sheets...
(Fits baby
cribs and toddler beds) Don't be
intimidated!, these are a cinch to make!
This is a super simple 20-30 minute project
that will make you never want to settle for
store crib sheets again!!!
Peek-a-Boo Crib
Skirt...
Here's a
fun, cute, tailored crib skirt you can make
yourself. (And it even matches
this
window valence.)
Pack & Play
Sheets...These
are surprisingly simple and quick to make.
Just cut your fabric to size, sew a couple
quick seams, and you're done! These
snug-fitting sheets don't even need elastic.
Rag Quilt... This is the quilt that anyone can make! I won't say it's quick (is ANY quilt quick?!), but it IS very doable. If you're at all intimidated by making traditional quilts, this is the quilt to make! It's great for baby quilts and adult quilts too.
